RX HUD V1 Installation

RX HUD V1 is a compact player and vehicle HUD for ESX and QBCore. It draws health, armor, hunger, thirst, and a voice indicator alongside a speedometer, clock, and date, and it takes over the minimap so the whole interface follows one layout.

Every element has its own toggle, so the HUD can be reduced to just the parts your server needs.

Requirements

RequirementWhy it is needed
es_extended or qb-coreSupplies player data and the hunger and thirst values.
A fuel resourceFeeds the fuel reading on the speedometer. The resource in use is selected with Config.FuelScript.

No database is required. RX HUD V1 stores nothing of its own.

1. Place the resource

Extract the complete resource into your server’s resources directory. Keep the folder intact: the interface loads its stylesheet, scripts, and icons from paths inside the resource.

The default extracted folder name is ripex-hud.

2. Add it to server.cfg

Start your framework first, then RX HUD V1. The HUD detects ESX and QBCore on startup, so the framework object must already exist when it initializes.

cfg
ensure qb-core
ensure ripex-hud

If you renamed the resource folder, replace ripex-hud with that exact folder name.

3. Disable the default HUD

Stop or remove the HUD resource your framework ships with, such as qb-hud on QBCore. Running two HUDs at once leaves duplicate status bars on screen and lets both resources fight over the minimap.

4. Select your fuel resource

Open config.lua and set Config.FuelScript to the fuel resource running on your server:

Config.FuelScript = 'default' -- 'default', 'ox_fuel', 'LegacyFuel', 'ps-fuel', 'cdn-fuel', 'qb-fuel', 'custom'

Start that resource before RX HUD V1. If your fuel system is not on the list, use 'custom' and point Config.CustomFuelFunction at a global function that returns the fuel level. See Configuration for the full setup.

5. Verify the interface

Restart the server and join with a normal player account. Check each part of the HUD in order:

  1. Health, armor, hunger, and thirst appear and update as the values change.
  2. The clock and date match the in-game time.
  3. Speaking shows the microphone indicator.
  4. Entering a vehicle shows the speedometer with a correct fuel reading.
  5. The minimap follows the behaviour set by Config.MinimapSettings.inVehicleOnly.

If a value never updates, set Config.DebugMode = true temporarily to see what the HUD receives, then disable it again.

Then continue to Configuration for the full option reference.
