RX Pause Menu V1 Installation
RX Pause Menu V1 replaces the default GTA pause screen with a single surface that holds map access, settings, character details, and your server links. Opening it frames the player’s character with a dedicated camera and leaves the world visible behind the interface.
Requirements
| Requirement | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
es_extended or qb-core | Supplies the player and character information shown in the menu. |
No database is required. RX Pause Menu V1 stores nothing of its own.
1. Place the resource
Extract the complete resource into your server’s resources directory. Keep the folder intact: the interface loads its stylesheet, scripts, and images from paths inside the resource.
The default extracted folder name is ripex-pausemenu.
2. Add it to server.cfg
Start your framework first, then RX Pause Menu. The menu detects ESX and QBCore on startup, so the framework object must already exist when it initializes.
ensure qb-core
ensure ripex-pausemenuIf you renamed the resource folder, replace ripex-pausemenu with that exact folder name.
3. Replace your server links
config.lua ships with placeholder links. Change all three before going live, otherwise players are sent to example addresses:
Config.DiscordInvite = 'https://discord.gg/yourserver'
Config.StoreURL = 'https://store.example.com'
Config.TebexURL = 'https://tebex.io/' Use a permanent Discord invite. An invite that expires leaves a dead button in the menu.
4. Check for key conflicts
The menu opens on ESC by default:
Config.PauseKey = 200 -- ESC (INPUT_FRONTEND_PAUSE) Stop any other resource that also replaces the pause screen. Two resources bound to ESC will either open both menus or cancel each other out.
5. Verify the menu
Restart the server and join with a normal player account. Check the following:
- Pressing
ESCopens RX Pause Menu instead of the default pause screen. - The character is framed by the camera and is not hidden behind the interface.
- Player and character details show the correct values.
- The map and settings sections open.
- The Discord, store, and Tebex buttons open your real links.
- Closing the menu returns control to the player cleanly.
Then continue to Configuration to adjust the camera framing and background presentation.
