RX Pause Menu V1 Configuration

RX Pause Menu V1 keeps its behaviour in config.lua. The file is short: it covers the key that opens the menu, the links shown to players, the camera framing the character, and how the game world appears behind the interface.

Restart the resource after changing the configuration so every connected client receives the same values.

Pause key

PauseKey is the control that opens the menu. It uses a FiveM control ID, not a key name.

SettingDefaultBehaviour
PauseKey200Control that opens the pause menu. 200 is ESC (INPUT_FRONTEND_PAUSE).
Config.PauseKey = 200 -- ESC (INPUT_FRONTEND_PAUSE)

Keep the default unless another resource already binds ESC. If you change it, use a valid FiveM control ID and confirm the control is not consumed by a menu or interaction that can be open at the same time.

Server links

These links appear as actions inside the menu. Replace every placeholder before going live.

SettingPlaceholderOpens
DiscordInvitehttps://discord.gg/yourserverYour Discord invite.
StoreURLhttps://store.example.comYour store or shop page.
TebexURLhttps://tebex.io/Your Tebex page.
Config.DiscordInvite = 'https://discord.gg/yourserver'
Config.StoreURL = 'https://store.example.com'
Config.TebexURL = 'https://tebex.io/'

Use permanent invite links for Discord. An invite that expires leaves a dead button in the menu, and players usually report it as a broken script rather than an expired link.

Character camera

When the menu opens, the camera moves to frame the player’s character. These values control that shot.

SettingDefaultBehaviour
distance1.20Distance from the character.
height0.7Vertical offset of the camera.
leftShift0.05Sideways offset of the camera.
lookOffset-0.37Aim offset relative to the character’s head. Negative values aim to the left.
fov47.0Field of view.
Config.Camera = {
  distance = 1.20,
  height = 0.7,
  leftShift = 0.05,
  lookOffset = -0.37,
  fov = 47.0
}

The defaults leave the character off to one side so the interface has room without covering them. lookOffset is what creates that gap: moving it toward 0.0 centres the character and pushes them behind the menu panels.

Adjust distance and fov together. Raising fov while keeping the same distance widens the shot but also adds perspective distortion at the edges of the frame.

Background presentation

SettingDefaultBehaviour
BlurBackgroundtrueBlurs the game world behind the menu.
FadeTimeMs900Length of the open and close fade, in milliseconds.
Config.BlurBackground = true
Config.FadeTimeMs = 900

Disabling the blur keeps the world sharp behind the menu, which suits servers that want the pause screen to feel less like an overlay. Lower FadeTimeMs if players open the menu frequently; a long fade is pleasant the first time and slow by the tenth.
